1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Delphos, OH, Onsite Monday - Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM
Compensation:
$65,000 to $85,000
Position Summary
Seeking a Maintenance Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate maintenance functions, including equipment repair, installation, and facility upkeep. This individual will support both technical operations and the maintenance team by executing preventative and corrective maintenance strategies aligned with safety, quality, and performance goals. The role ensures compliance with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, ensuring optimal use of labor, equipment, and repair parts to control maintenance-related costs.
- Oversee completion of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities according to safety and operational standards to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for maintenance planning, emergency repairs, and equipment modifications.
- Utilize ERP and PM systems to track maintenance KPIs, monitor equipment performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships to ensure availability of necessary equipment and materials.
- Support operational excellence initiatives including lean events, kaizen activities, and Gemba walks.
- Ensure adherence to codes and standards related to all maintenance activities.
- Promote and enforce housekeeping and safety compliance across maintenance work areas.
- Manage fire and security alarm systems and ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain up-to-date employee training on equipment operation and safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on maintenance experience involving hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience within a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required; exposure to AutoCAD, PLCs, ERP, or CMMS systems is a plus.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in demanding environments including confined, noisy, and industrial spaces.
