Human Resources Analyst

Location: Naperville / Lisle Area

Compensation:  $70,000 to $90,000 + 10% bonus

Position Summary

The HRIS & Benefits Analyst will maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, as well as configuring and troubleshooting modules with a focus on benefits administration. This role partners with IT on system upgrades, testing, implementation of new functionalities, and security settings. The Analyst serves as the technical point-of-contact, providing user support and training. Responsibilities also include managing the benefits enrollment module, collaborating with Payroll and Finance for invoice processing, and supporting open enrollment, ACA reporting, and other compliance requirements. This position is hybrid with two remote days per week.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead HRIS data management and reporting processes, supporting audits, employee changes, reporting, and self-service assistance.
  • Maintain data integrity by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Partner with IT for system upgrades, testing, and new functionality rollouts.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc employee demographic and workforce reports.
  • Manage PTO plans, ensuring accruals are accurate and facilitating annual rollover processes.
  • Review and resolve benefit vendor file discrepancies, collaborating with vendors as needed.
  • Maintain leave of absence reporting, including tracking benefit deductions and payments.
  • Reconcile and process benefits vendor invoices, ensuring timely payment and accurate records.
  • Support audits for retirement, health, and welfare plans by preparing and verifying requested data.
  • Create and review ACA 1095 forms and complete year-end ACA reporting.
  • Generate total rewards and compensation statements associated with merit cycles.
  • Configure HRIS for open enrollment and life events.
  • Run compensation and benefits-related reporting as requested.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Required Skills

  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • HRIS system data management experience required (UKG and ADP preferred), including report building.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Independent self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to critically analyze issues and propose solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of HRIS data management required; benefits administration experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting benefits and/or compensation administration is desirable.
