1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Nashville (near fairgrounds / speedway)
Hours: 7:30 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday
Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000 base plus bonus
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, packing, and shipping. The role ensures compliance with company policies, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises warehouse and receiving staff while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Oversight – Collaborates with leadership to assign and manage daily tasks for warehouse and receiving personnel, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement – Identifies and implements enhancements to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Issue Resolution – Investigates operational concerns and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to maintain service levels.
- Safety Compliance – Enforces workplace safety standards, conducts risk assessments, and ensures compliance with company and regulatory safety protocols.
- Team Engagement – Leads shift meetings and team exercises to align objectives, communicate updates, and maintain engagement.
- Attendance & Payroll Management – Oversees warehouse associates' timekeeping, tracks attendance, and ensures accurate payroll processing.
- Training & Development – Identifies training needs, updates workforce skill matrices, and facilitates performance-enhancing initiatives.
- Policy Enforcement – Administers corrective actions and disciplinary measures to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Inventory Control – Monitors and manages overstock, ensuring proper storage and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Inventory Accuracy – Leads cycle counts and assists with physical inventory processes to maintain stock integrity.
- Documentation & Compliance – Maintains organized records of shipping and receiving documentation for compliance and traceability.
- Operational Support – Assists in loading and unloading as needed while maintaining focus on leadership responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises Warehouse Overstock Pullers and Warehouse Receiving Workers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities include hiring, training, workflow coordination, performance evaluations, recognition programs, and corrective action implementation as necessary.

- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; at least five (5) years of warehouse experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical & Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Forklift/tow motor certification preferred.
- Strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- High level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive company information.
Work Environment
- This position operates in a warehouse environment that requires adherence to safety protocols. Protective gear, including gloves, may be necessary when handling certain materials.
