Finance Manager

Location: Onsite Monday - Friday in NW Houston

Compensation:  $100,000 to $140,000 plus bonus.

Summary

A manufacturing organization is seeking a Finance Manager to serve as both a strategic and operational leader within its finance function. This position is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance. The role emphasizes cost management, financial forecasting, and process optimization to drive improved profitability and operational efficiency. The Director will work closely with executive leadership, operations, and departmental teams to align financial practices with the organization’s broader objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support business goals and growth plans
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes
  • Partner with production and operations teams to build reliable financial projections
  • Deliver accurate and timely internal financial reports to leadership
  • Review monthly financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Manage the annual audit process in collaboration with external auditors
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives to enhance production and operational profitability
  • Perform variance analysis to identify cost/revenue fluctuations and areas of improvement
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams on margin analysis and production economics
  • Enhance and streamline financial processes through effective use of ERP systems
  • Support capital planning initiatives and provide ROI assessments for major investments
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through sound internal controls and insurance strategies
  • Conduct regular financial risk assessments and enforce compliance policies


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of finance leadership experience in a manufacturing and/or services environment
  • Proven involvement in strategic initiatives supporting organizational growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
