Maintenance Supervisor
Location: NW Indiana
Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 plus 10% Annual Bonus
Overview
The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the execution of maintenance work, ensuring schedules are met, improvements are communicated, and reliability data is accurately recorded. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations while supporting overall plant reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and direct work activities to ensure tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, local jurisdictional standards). Report deviations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate priorities and coordinate maintenance activities across departments to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance.
- Participate in incident investigations, complete required documentation, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Train and coach personnel in safe work practices, efficient work procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to procedures, equipment utilization, and cost control measures. Track and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support the development and monitoring of the maintenance budget and annual investment plan.
- Monitor critical part stocking levels and recommend adjustments to inventory practices.
- Review operational, quality, and maintenance reports to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct crew and safety meetings to ensure strong communication within and between shifts.
- Manage subcontractor services to ensure alignment with cost, quality, safety, and contractual timelines.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent technical training) preferred.
- 2–5 years of related maintenance experience, including supervisory or contractor management experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E regulations and codes.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Experience with 480V motors, starters, and control interlocks.
- Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs (ControlLogix preferred).
- Experience with DCS systems (ABB Infi90 preferred).
- Familiarity with field I/O devices (LVDTs, encoders, zero speed sensors, pressure transmitters).
- CMRP certification preferred.
