Business Data Analyst

Location:  Willard, Ohio
Compensation:
 $60,000 to $75,000 Base

We are seeking a Business Data Analyst for our site in Willard, OH. The Business Data Analyst compiles, develops, and interprets financial data to support forecasting and modeling. This role conducts in-depth, moderately complex technical analysis to evaluate past and current financial performance. The Analyst gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial activity, trend-based requirements, and forecasts. Additional research or studies in manufacturing, quality, continuous improvement, or other areas may be required.

 

What You'll Do

  • Work with minimal supervision, receiving guidance primarily on goals and objectives. Independently define work scope based on short- and long-term department goals.
  • Analyze financial reports and operating procedures; strategize improvements to business operations.
  • Assist with project management for identified initiatives.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor and communicate business performance.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Test business processes and recommend improvements; identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Prepare and review month-end reports and entries as needed.
  • Generate reports and conduct research as assigned.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries; utilize Microsoft Excel extensively and leverage other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or data analytics within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing operations and procedures.
  • Proven ability to analyze problems and develop effective, efficient solutions.
  • Proficiency in applying existing processes and procedures to questions; resourceful or able to seek guidance for non-routine problems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) and proficiency with SQL or other relevant data tools.
  • Experience collaborating with and supporting various internal customer groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a track record of managing complex, detailed information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Preferred: Experience with Power BI.
