Associate General Counsel
Location: Lisle / Naperville Area
Compensation: $160,000 + 220,000 plus 25% annual bonus
Position Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Associate General Counsel with strong experience in compliance, labor and employment, and litigation to join a growing legal team. This individual will work closely with the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer to provide legal guidance on a wide range of issues, including employment, compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters. The role requires a proactive legal professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, multi-state corporate environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee investigations related to potential violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the company’s Code of Conduct.
- Maintain and update the Code of Conduct and related compliance policies.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for managers and employees, including through virtual training platforms.
- Provide legal guidance on compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and oversee the implementation of resolutions and compliance plans.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of compliance policies and procedures, recommending improvements as needed.
- Partner with Human Resources to advise on employee relations matters, including union-related issues, terminations, disciplinary actions, restructurings, and layoffs.
- Assist in managing and overseeing litigation matters, with a focus on employment-related cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide oversight on workers’ compensation claims.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and labor regulations.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant state.
- 3–6 years of professional legal experience at a law firm or in-house, with a focus on complex litigation, employment law, and compliance.
